Invitation for ICT-16

Serbia is a small country with magical plains and picturesque mountains, located at the crossroads of Western Europe and the Middle East.
First registered at the beginning of the 19th century, the presence of infection with Trichinella spp. in animals and disease in humans has been going through phases of emerging and re-emerging. T. spiralis and T. britovi were identified with varying prevalence throughout the territory of Serbia. The decrease in annual recurrent outbreaks of trichinellosis or sporadic cases, during the last 5 years, has become so significant that it could be announced as rare.

On behalf of the International Commission on Trichinellosis and here mentioned Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the XVI International Conference on Trichinellosis (ICT-16) to be held in Belgrade, Serbia, August 30 – September 1, 2023.

ICT-16 in Serbia will be an ideal meeting place for research teams to exchange and discuss novel results regarding Trichinella and trichinellosis.

The scientific program will include: invited oral as well as poster presentations in several scientific sessions.
The social program will contribute to the pleasant atmosphere of the conference and the establishment of new friendships with the endless theme of Trichinella.
